Chief Executive Officer

David Cronin brings a wealth of commercial experience to this international role. Prior to joining one of Ireland's leading Foundations, David was Chief Operating Officer and shareholder of QUMAS, Irish Software Company of the Year in 2006.

David is a member of the Irish American Business Association Advisory Group, the Irish Special Olympics Leadership Council and the Cultural Odyssey Advisory Group. As the Foundation has raised in excess of $200m in philanthropic funding, his work involves close partnership with both the American Ireland Funds & Atlantic Philanthropies.

He is a graduate of the MSc in International Business from Trinity College Dublin, holds both an undergraduate degree and post-graduate in Economics, is an Alumni of the Global Business Program, IMD International (Switzerland) and Business Development courses at Babson College, Boston.

David has been involved in the funding of a number of early-stage companies, remains a non-executive director of the Wild Geese Group and is on the Advisory Board of the Bank of Ireland Seed & Early-Stage Equity Fund.

He has previously served as a Government appointee to the Management Development Council for the development of world-class management skills within Irish SMEs, and as a member of the Irish Software Association Executive Council. His qualifications also include Series 7 & Series 63 licenses, having worked for several years on Wall Street as an equities trader on the NYSE.
