Hank Krabbe Medal and Analog Scholarships are Awarded at UL

At a reception today, three UL students received awards for their outstanding academic achievement in the area of Electronic & Computer Engineering.
UL student, Stephen Brookes from Skibbereen in Co Cork was awarded the Hank Krabbe Medal based on his outstanding final year exam results. Stephen, who has just completed his B.Eng. in Electronic Engineering this year, also received a cheque for €5,000. The Hank Krabbe Medal was established by Analog Devices through a donation to the UL Foundation in memory of the late Hank Krabbe, the founding Managing Director of Analog Devices in Limerick.
Also awarded the Analog Devices Scholarship today were UL students Dara Dermody from Clonbur in Co Galway and Niamh Brennan from Gathabawn in Co Kilkenny. Dara has just completed first year of his B.Eng. in Computer Engineering and Niamh has just completed second year of her B.Eng. in Electronic Engineering. The Analog Devices Scholarship awards €7,000 to the students who achieve the best exam results in their year in the area of Electronic and Computer Engineering.
