Muckross House Dance Scholarship

The 2008/2009 Scholarship was awarded to UL student Anna Shalabudova (front row centre) from Saint-Petersburg, Russia.

Every year, the Muckross House Folk Museum in Killarney, Co Kerry generously donates a scholarship which is available to students of the MA in Irish Traditional Dance Performance programme at the University’s Irish World Academy of Music and Dance.

Dr Catherine Foley (Course Director MA Ethnochoreology and MA Irish Traditional Dance Performance programmes at UL) has been instrumental in setting up this Scholarship through her links with the Folk Museum. The Scholarship is worth an annual amount of €6,750 and this is the fifth year that it has been awarded.
