Here are some examples of what is happening at UL – and this is just the tip of the iceberg!
- The new Irish World Academy of Music and Dance building nears completion.
- UL’s Graduate Medical School continues to break new boundaries.
- UL’s first Language Centre building is opened on campus.
- The Tierney Centre for Enterprise and Innovation will open at the end of 2010.
- UL’s new “Pedestrian Living Bridge” (Ireland’s longest pedestrian bridge) connects the Limerick and Clare sides of the campus.
- UL continues to be a hub for rugby with the Irish team and All Blacks training on campus.
- UL launches a Venture Fund to support business start-ups.
- UL remains at the forefront of music and culture with the University Concert Hall and Irish Chamber Orchestra housed on campus.
- The University boasts a stimulating array of visiting speakers in literature, business and politics, including Niall Fitzgerald, Willie Walsh and Mary Harney.
